Pioneer Volleyball swept American Midwest Conference opponent UHSP this afternoon to improve to 4-5 in the AMC and 8-13 overall on the season. Sets went as follows: 25-12 CRC, 25-11 CRC, and 25-17 CRC.
Paragould, Ark.- Pioneer Volleyball ended its double-header conference weekend with a big three-set sweep over the Lady Eutectics of the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy. The Lady Pioneers asserted their authority in the contest by producing double-digit kills in all three sets, capping the contest with a game-high 16 kills. In total, the CRC offense mustered 42 kills on a .326 hitting percentage while adding 10 service aces to their cause.
Offensively, senior Hannah Halverson led her team for the second consecutive contest with a double-double afternoon of 12 kills and 10 digs. Brooklyn Cross followed with 9 kills and tallied 3 blocks in the win. Sophomore Mallory Hollis led the defense for the second game in a row with 15 digs, while freshman Madelyn Burris paced the team with 16 helpers. Halverson and sophomore Jillian Glasgow each served up three service aces for the afternoon.
