CRC Volleyball faced its second consecutive conference defeat and fifth consecutive loss with with Stephens College sweeping the Lady Pioneers in their final contest in Columbia, MO earlier this afternoon. CRC falls to 5-11 on the year and drops to 1-4 in conference. Sets went as follows: 7-25 SC, 15-25 SC, and 16-25 SC.
Columbia, MO- In this afternoon's contest the Lady Pioneers produced a better offensive effort compared to yesterday's loss against Columbia College. However, they would still be bested by the Lady Stars of Stephens College after three sets. The Lady Stars mimicked the Lady Cougars' offensive performance of last night by outperforming CRC with 42 kills on a .349 hitting percentage compared to CRC's 16 kills on a -.052 hitting percentage. This offensive difference would ensure the Pioneer's doom, allowing the Stars to prevail over Crowley's Ridge in their first-ever conference matchup. Brooklyn Cross and Hannah Halverson led the Lady Pioneers with 4 kills. Jadyn Hesse led in assists with 8, and Halverson led in digs with 7.
