Paragould, Ark.- The Lady Pioneers hosted NCAA DIII, Mississippi University for Women earlier this evening in the Carter Activities Center. In the opening set of action, the visiting Owls struck first as they claimed the opening point in the matchup. MUW built off their initial start by taking consecutive points before allowing a Pioneer point and before long CRC saw the Owls take the set 25-16. In set two the Pioneers had a change of pace as they built off a service ace from Emi Elms which encouraged CRC to go on a 6-1 run, taking a 10-5 lead over the Owls and force the opposing team to stop play with a timeout. When play resumed CRC edged closer to the set finish line but were halted by a strong Owl push late in the set. The Owls retook the lead and claimed the second set as they completed the comeback with a 5 point run, winning it 25-23. In the final set CRC led for the first 7 points before being overtaken by the Owls. CRC then traded points with MUW and even retook the lead, 13-12,  with Jillian Glasgow setting up Paige Glenn for a Pioneer kill  but the Lady Pioneers couldn't stay ahead of the Lady Owls as MUW reclaimed the lead and never lost it for the remainder of the set. CRC brought the game within 2 points, 22-24, but a final kill from the Owl's offense ended the contest.

Paige Glenn led the Pioneers in kills as she was the sole Pioneer to reach double-digits with (10). Jadyn Hesse and Jillian Glasgow split the assists on the night with Hesse's (15) and Glasgow's (14). Kinley Matlock led the team in digs with (16) in the three set setback.
