Paragould, Ark.- CRC Volleyball hosted Champion Christian College tonight in the Carter Activities Center where the Lady Pioneers wore pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness. This change of attire is what the Pioneers needed as they got back in the win column with a quick three-set sweep over the Lady Tigers of Champion Christian College. The Lady Pioneers opened tonight's contest with a powerful message, claiming the opening set with a score of 25-6. CRC posted 15 points against the Tigers before the visiting team cracked the scoreboard with their first point of the evening. CRC claimed the second set by a much narrower gap. CRC kicked off the set creating space on the scoreboard as they rallied off a 5-1 lead but soon saw a visiting Tiger offense rally and tie the set 8-8 with a service ace. Champion Christian would even pull ahead taking a 16-12 lead over CRC before the Pioneers clawed back by going on two separate 6-1 runs, which allowed them to win the set 25-23. In the final set, Champion Christian produced their best start of the evening with a 6-1 run over CRC. The Pioneers quickly gathered themselves and surpassed the Tigers, forcing them to stop play as they trailed 9-7 to CRC. When play resumed the Tigers never caught the Pioneers as Crowley's Ridge increased the gap and claimed the set 25-13.
