CRC Pioneer Volleyball took place in a Tri-Match hosted by Haskell University in Lawrence, KS. The Lady Pioneers were slotted for back-to-back contests against Sisseton Wahpeton College and CAC opponent Haskell University at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Crowley's Ridge would pull out one win on the day. The Lady Pioneers are now (5-6) overall on the season and (0-1) in the conference play. 

 

Lawrence, KS- The Lady Pioneers snapped their 4-game losing streak with a quick 3-set sweep over Sisseton Wahpeton College in game one. Crowley's Ridge won the three consecutive sets in a dominant fashion as they handled the Mustangs with set scores of 25-12, 25-19, and 25-10. Emi Elms followed up her 15-kill performance against Baptist Bible College with a consecutive double-digit kill game by landing 10 more against the Mustangs. Jadyn Hesse's 17 and Jillian Glasgow's 10  assists set up the Pioneers offensive attack for success. Hannah Halverson led the back row with 15 digs but also played her part on the offensive side by serving up a whopping 8 service aces in the three-set sweep. 

 

In Game Two against CAC opponent Haskell University the Pioneers would have the roles reversed. The Fighting Indians handled the Pioneers with relative ease by defeating CRC with double-digit gaps in three consecutive sets. Haskell claimed the sets 25-15, 25-15, and 25-7. Paige Glenn led the Pioneers' attack with 5 kills in the short matchup. Glasgow followed up her 10-assist game one performance by leading the team with 7 in game two. The two bright spots on the stat sheet would be awarded to Halverson who led with 15 more digs on the day and Kinley Matlock breaking the double-digit mark with 10 digs in the loss. 

 

Next up the Pioneers travel to Boston, MA to participate in the CAC classic hosted at Fisher College on October, 6th and 7th.
