Cottey College- 57

Paragould, Ark.- The Pioneers fell short of the AMC upset against Cottey College after leading the Comets in the first two-quarters of the contest. Cottey's win is credited to a massive run by the Comets in the third quarter, where they posted a 12-0 run while the Pioneer offense fell cold, going scoreless for the opening 7 minutes of the quarter. This shove by Cottey allowed the Comets to make up the Pioneer's 8-point gap held at the halftime break and reclaim the advantage and contest. Brooklyn Kearbey led the Pioneers with 17 points. Ansley Dawson followed Kearbey with a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds in the loss.

Up Next: The Lady Pioneers will host Hannibal-LaGrange on Saturday, February 22nd for their senior day and Homecoming. #GOPIONEERS
