Temple Terrace, FL- After an exhilarating conference win yesterday evening against Florida National University, Crowley's Ridge Women's Basketball wrapped up their time at the CAC Classic with an early afternoon matchup against Voorhees University. In today's contest, the Lady Pioneers would claim the opening quarter of play but despairingly for CRC, it would be the only one of the contest. The Lady Pioneers took a three-point lead at the conclusion of the first moments of gameplay with a score of 18-15 but quickly had to change their attack plan as the Lady Tigers reclaimed the lead right before the halftime break, 38-35. Much like yesterday's contest, CRC faced a strong drive from the opposing team in the third quarter as the Tigers increased their lead to 67-52 with a muscular 29-point performance to start the second half. Painfully, what CRC summoned in yesterday's contest to complete the come-from-behind victory wouldn't happen again. CRC's offense did match Voorhees' fourth-quarter effort but couldn't cut into the deficit as they fell 78-63.

Ansley Dawson got back on track with her routine of 20 points as she led the Lady Pioneers with 20 points on the dot. Hunter Gibson added 11 points with Reigiana Ward also breaking double digits with her 10-point game. Travia Woodruff finished one rebound shy of a double-double as she led the team in rebounds with 9 and also in assists with 10.
