Paragould, Ark. - The Lady Pioneers opened today's contest against future American Midwest Conference (AMC) opponent Baptist Bible College with a robust 1st quarter of action as Crowley's Ridge manufactured their best quarter with 33 points in the opening 10 minutes of action. With all things looking like full steam ahead, CRC would hit a few speed bumps midway through the second quarter and wretchedly saw the Patriots outscore them for the remaining three quarters. Crowley's Ridge kept the Patriots at bay within the first half as the Pioneers took a seven-point lead into the break, but gruelingly witnessed the Patriots retake the lead in the third quarter with a stout 36-point performance. The Patriots' strong second-half opening push maintained the hold as the Lady Pioneers were unable to reclaim the lead, falling 110-90. Reigiana Ward led the Pioneers once more this season in scoring as she had a team-high 21 points with Travia Woodruff following close behind with 20 points while also dishing out 9 assists. Hunter Gibson added 14 points along with Ansley Dawson's 12 tallies and a team-high 9 rebounds in the setback contest.
Up Next: The Lady Pioneers take a few days off as they are not scheduled to hit the court again until the 18th of December with a matchup against NCAA DIII Lyon College in Batesville, AR at 1:00 PM. #GOPIONEERS
