Paragould, Ark.- The Lady Pioneers struggled on both sides of the basketball this afternoon allowing the Eagles of Williams Baptist University to claim the victory, dropping the Lady Pioneers to 4-3 overall on the season. The Lady Pioneers shot a season low 27.8% from the field and were outrebounded by the visiting team 62-36. Crowley's Ridge trailed the Eagles in the opening minutes of action until Ansley Dawson drilled a three-ball followed by Travia Woodruff who bucketed a quick 2 points off a Pioneer steal to retake the lead 17-15.Tragically, this lead would be CRC's last as the Eagles reclaimed the high ground in the final seconds of the opening quarter and then maintained the lead for the remainder of the contest. Crowley's Ridge shared the basketball as CRC had six Lady Pioneers reach the double digit point mark with freshmen Ansley Dawson leading the way with 14 points. Senior Travia Woodruff filled the stat line with her 12 points, 9 assists, and 4 steals in the loss. Sophomore Hunter Gibson shared the rebound crown with freshmen Kylan Stevens as they each snatched 7 rebounds. Lastly, Brinley Morgan ended the contest one steal shy of her personal best with 6 thefts while also adding 10 points in the setback game.
