Walnut Ridge, Ark.- The Lady Pioneers made the short trip down Highway 412 to take on future AMC opponent Williams Baptist Unversity this afternoon with tip-off scheduled for 1:00 PM. The Pioneers, currently (3-1) on the year before today's contest saw their record fall to (3-2) as the Lady Eagles defended their home court with a blowout win over the Pioneers, 108-78. The Eagles set the standard in the opening quarter as they climbed ahead 15 points with a 29-14 lead. Crowley's Ridge countered in the second ten-minute span of play by outsourcing WBU 21-16, shaving five points off the deficit and seeing Williams take a 45-35 lead into the break. Bitterly, CRC wouldn't outscore the Eagles in the last two quarters after the intermission, forcing CRC to fall for the second time this season. Reigiana Ward kept her throne as she led the Pioneers in scoring for the third game in a row with her 25-point performance. Hunter Gibson stayed in the 20-point bracket for her second consecutive game with her 22 buckets. Brinley Morgan led the team in rebounds with 8 and also snatched up a team-high 5 steals.
