Paragould, Ark.- The Lady Pioneers hosted the Mustangs of Central Baptist College this evening in the Carter Activities Center. After being handed their first loss of the season this past Tuesday, November 7th to #22 Rust College the Lady Pioneers rallied back and improved their record to (3-1) on the year with an 84-71 win over the Lady Mustangs. Crowley's Ridge ended the first quarter all knotted up with CBC but eventually pulled away and went on to lead at the end of each quarter for the remainder of the contest. Three Lady Pioneers did the heavy lifting for CRC's offense tonight with Reigiana Ward claiming the top spot with her 26 points. Ward's success came from behind the arc as she shot 6-11 from three. Brinley Morgan and Hunter Gibson were the other two Lady Pioneers who shared tonight's workload with Ward as Morgan manufactured 18 points in the win. Morgan did her damage in the first half of the game as she scored 16 of her 18 points before the break. Gibson helped seal the win for the Pioneers as she sparked to life at the tail end of the third quarter and then roared to life in the 4th with her 17-point second-half performance giving her a total of 20 points on the night. Kylan Stevens stepped up on the defensive side of things for the Pioneers as the freshmen came off the bench and snatched a team-high 7 rebounds. The Pioneers led by as much as 17 in the second half but settled for a 13-point gap in tonight's win.
