Women's Basketball brought their road games for the 2023 regular season to a close with a matchup against Ecclesia College tonight in Springdale, Ark. The Lady Pioneers were on a hot streak winning their last three games and tying the CRC school record of 15 wins with last nights victory over Bacone College. They entered today's contest with the new single-season wins record on the horizon under the leadership of head coach Brad Phillips. CRC used that mindset for the fuel they needed to pull out a late run, defeating the Royals and claiming the new record of 16 wins in a season.

Springdale, Ark. The Lady Pioneers played hard in the first quarter, getting out front of the Royals with a 17-9 lead. Alayzah Foster's performance on the road earned her a starting spot tonight, and she backed up the decision by leading the team with 8 points in the first 10 minutes of action. Reigiana Ward hit a jump shot at the 9:31 mark in the second to bring the CRC lead to 10, 19-9. The Royals didn't lay down as they slowly worked their way back into the game, and tied things at 26-26 with just under two minutes before intermission. CRC never lost the lead as they went on a 6-2 run to end the quarter, entering the break up 32-28. Crowley's Ridge entered the third quarter sluggish, posting their lowest quarter of the contest with 10 points. Brinley Morgan took credit for almost all the points as she knocked down three shots from behind the arc. Luckily Ecclesia only bucketed 12 points so the Pioneers entered the finals 10 minutes up one bucket, 42-40. In the two minutes between the quarters, something must have clicked, because the Pioneers entered the 4th with a fire roasting underneath them. Sierrah Floyd played copy-cat from Morgan as Floyd nailed three 3-pointers in the quarter, sinking the last one with 5:38 to go giving the Pioneers a double-digit lead once again, 55-42. The CRC defense made their biggest stand of the season by allowing just 4 points from the Royals. CRC finished the game out scoring Ecclesia 23-4 in the final quarter, ensuring their record-breaking night with a 65-44 point victory.

Leaders:

Brinley Morgan led the Pioneers with 24 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 steals. Morgan sank 6 threes shooting 6-12 on the night. Alayzah Foster finished with 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals
