
Crowley's Ridge women's basketball starts season 3-0

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Crowley's Ridge women's basketball continues its best start to a season since joining the NAIA by winning their third consecutive game. Finishing the Manhattan Christian Classic against the hosts, the Lady Pioneers bested the Manhattan Christian (Kan.) College Thunder 80-48.
The Lady Pioneers (3-0) shot 47.8% from the floor as a team, while connecting on seven of an attempted 21 three-point field goals. After a Stephens game that saw the Lady 'Neers shoot 35 free throws, Manhattan Christian (0-2) sent the girls in green to the charity stripe seven times, where CRC connected on all seven.
Freshman Shmyira Brown exploded in her most productive game, going 8-12 from the floor to lead her Lady Pioneers with 16 points. Lindsey Browning chipped in with 14 points and a team-high six rebounds, while Leah Still and Madison Sellars wrapped up the double-digit scoring with 12 and 11, respectively.

Crowley's Ridge will spend the week preparing for another weekend of games, this time in Pensacola, Florida where Pensacola Christian College hosts a three-team classic with Toccoa Falls (Ga.) being the third team.
The Lady Pioneers will face the hosting Pensacola Christian Eagles on November 12 tipping off at 4 p.m. CDT. The trip to the Sunshine State ends on Saturday, November 13 against TFC at 4 p.m. CDT.
