Lady Pioneers Drop Fourth Straight
PARAGOULD, AR - The Lady Pioneers fall victim to Langston's full court press and drop the home game, 93-49.
Crowley's Ridge struggled to score against the Lions' defense in the first half and dug themselves a deep hole. The Lady Pioneers went into half time down 54-22 on 29% shooting from the floor. CRC came out in the third quarter with a new five on the floor and a new found confidence, Freshman point guard Hannah Cunningham gave the team a spark off the bench on both ends of the floor forcing two big turnovers and converting them to fast break layups.
The Pioneers shot better and played better defense in the second half, but it was not enough to come back from the large first half defecit.
Langston University was led by Tennia Hill with 22 points. Tashara Jones added 18 points and nine rebounds.
Crowley's Ridge College was led by Elly Burrell with 18 points and five rebounds. Hannah Cunningham added eight points, three assists, and three steals.
