Arlington, TX- The Lady Pioneers jump-started their weekend in Texas with a slugfest performance in game one. The Lady Pioneers slugged out 16 hits against Arlington Baptist as they rolled their way to a 10-1 run-rule victory. Arlington Baptist drew first blood by scoring one run in the bottom of the first after Shelby Elrod gave up a double to center field. Though this looked good for the host team, Elrod dug in and didn't allow another run for the remainder of the game. As Elrod wheeled and dealed the Pioneers tied the game in the top of the second with Kourtnui Jeagneaux singling to left field that scored Hannah Burk. CRC retook the lead one inning later after back-to-back RBI singles from Brooklyn Melson and Jagneaux scored 2 giving CRC a 3-1 lead. Inning 5 is where CRC decided to pour it on Arlington Baptist and take their demanding lead. The Lady Pioneers posted a 6-hit 3-walk inning where back-to-back triples from Bailey Cupples and Shelby Elrod truly tipped the scale as they combined for 5 RBI in the top of the 5th. Maddie Reed and Dru Bryant knocked in the final two Pioneers closing the big 5th inning and giving CRC the final stat line of 10-1.

Three Pioneers ended the contest with a three-hit game.

Game Two:

Arlington, TX- The Lady Pioneers took a different route in the second game but in the end, they walked away with the second win of the day. Halea Wells entered the circle and hummed a solid 6 innings holding Arlington Baptist to 2 runs. The Pioneers saw the score remain close until a big 7th inning clinched the victory giving Wells the win in the contest. Each team scored one run in the first inning of the game with Dru Bryant taking care of CRC's half with an RBI single to center field. The Lady Pioneers broke the tie in the third inning with Bryant collecting her second RBI of the day as she singled once more to center-field. ABU squeaked out their second and final run of the contest in the bottom half of the fourth as Wells gave up a single to left field. The score remained all squared away at 2 each until Jocelyn Villarreal turn the tide creating a landslide of Pioneer runs. Villarreal singled in the top of the 6th which scored Maddie Erickson giving CRC a 3-2 lead. The next top-half inning is where things got out of control for ABU as Hannah Burk singled to right field scoring 1 with Kourtni Jagneaux and Villarreal both doubling not long after to the right side of the field scoring 4 runs creating a 6-run spread for Arlington Baptist to cover with their last three outs. Natalie Brightwell relieved Wells for the 7th inning and slammed the door collecting three outs and ensuring CRC's 2nd win in Texas.

The Pioneers scored 8 runs on 14 hits. 4 Pioneers ended the game with a multi-hit performance.

Bryant led going (3-4)(2RBI), Burk (2-4)(RBI), Villarreal (2-4)(3RBI), Melson (2-4).
