PIONEERS ROLL IN HOME WIN
PARAGOULD, AR - After a slow start the Crowley's Ridge College Pioneers finally got on a roll and overcame a four point deficit late in the first half and took a 24 point halftime lead. Thanks to 58.5% shooting in the second half, CRC rolled to a 105-54 win.
Southeastern Baptist led 25-21 with 6:44 to play in the first half before CRC finished the first half with a 29-1 run to take a 50-26 halftime lead.
The second half was more of the same. CRC shot 24 of 41 from the floor and forced 17 second half turnovers for Southeastern Baptist. The Pioneers turned 27 total Chargers turnovers into 39 points on the day.
Braxton Cousins and Zak Brown led the Pioneers with 24 points each. Timquorian Johnson added 11 points and 13 assists, while Trent McGowan scored 10 points in the win. All 13 Pioneers scored on the afternoon.
Up Next: MBB will take a break for the Holidays and return to the court after the new year on January 4th as the host Campbellsville University at Harrodsburg in the Carter Activities Center.
