PIONEERS IMPROVE TO 3-1 IN CONFERENCE PLAY
PARAGOULD, AR - Braxton Cousins led the Crowley's Ridge College Pioneers with a double-double of 21 points and 17 rebounds in route to a 92-82 win over Mission University Saturday in American Midwest Conference play.
CRC led by as much as 15 points in the first half and by 21 points early in the second half. Mission University closed the gap with hot three point shooting before the Pioneers finally put the game away late from the free throw line. The Patriots kept it close by shooting 12 of 35 from the three point line on the day.
Trent McGowan came off the bench for CRC with 19 points on five of seven from the three point line. Zak Brown added 16 points and nine assists, while Hayden Robinson turned in 15 points in the Pioneer win.
Crowley's Ridge College improves to 7-4 overall and 3-1 in AMC play.
