PIONEERS DROP FIRST CONFERENCE GAME
COLUMBIA, MO - Crowley's Ridge College took a 37-35 lead into the half but could not hang on in an 83-64 road conference loss to Columbia College.
Columbia took advantage of 26 second-chance points off of 17 offensive rebounds to secure the win.
Braxton Cousins and Zak Brown led the Pioneers with 14 points each. Timquorian Johnson added 13 points and led the team in rebounds with 9 in the loss.
Crowley's Ridge falls to 5-4 overall and 2-1 in the American Midwest Conference. Columbia improves to 7-3 overall and 3-0 in conference play.
