PIONEERS FALL IN ROAD OPENER- Wil Teague, Sports Information Director, 10-31-22
NEW ORLEANS, LA- Crowley's Ridge College took an early lead in their road opener, leading by as much as five in the first half. Xavier forced CRC into 15 first half turnovers to take a 41-34 lead at the break.
CRC stayed close most of the second half before Xavier pulled away with a 77-65 win.
Xavier scored 27 points off of CRC 25 turnovers.
Leaders:
JD Smith led the Pioneers with 16 points, BJ Johnson followed adding 15 points along with nine rebounds. Bo Roberson ended with a solid 14 points for the Pioneers.
