Paragould Ark.-  In this afternoon's contest, the Pioneers mustered one run off six hits over the seven innings of activity while committing three errors in the run-rule defeat. After CBC took a one-run lead at the top of the first, Brylan Honeycutt responded with CRC's first base knock of the contest by getting just enough barrel on the Mustang pitch to find no-mans lands down the right field line but grimly Honeycutt would be left stranded on first at the conclusion of the inning. The Mustangs added eight more runs with three in the second inning and five more in the fourth inning before CRC had their lone run find the plate in the fifth. In the bottom of the fifth CRC assembled their best inning of the matchup as Jackson Imler brought back the small ball gameplay as the outfielder reached first thanks to a perfectly placed bunt down the left field line with one out. Freshman Honeycutt followed Imler's hit by smacking his second single of the contest to right field, moving Imler up into scoring position. During the next AB, both Pioneer runners advanced ninety feet closer to home off a passed ball, allowing freshman Parker Gordon's groundout to shortstop to be enough to get CRC's sole run of the game to the plate. The Mustangs responded with four final runs in the sixth inning before wrapping up the game by retiring the first three Pioneers in the seventh. Junior Matthew Parker and freshman Bryaln Honeycutt led the Pioneers with two hits each as Parker was (2-3) and Honeycutt was (2-2) with a walk in the loss. Michael Sharp took his second loss of the season as the 6'5 RHP tossed 3.2 innings, surrendering 9 runs off 11 hits while striking out 1.
