Paragould, Ark.- CBC, who entered the contest 12-6 on the year, tipped the Pioneers' record to 6-7 as the Mustangs scored 15 runs on 16 hits in the 7.0 innings of action. The Mustangs opened the contest with a first-pitch nuke in the power rally of left field and then continued their offensive wave by getting Mustang runners around the bases in every inning but the 6th. The Pioneers produced 3 runs on 5 hits in the loss with Andrew Brown, Adonis Thomas, and Trey Drake providing the Pioneer runs. Brown singled in the bottom of the first which drove in Trey Drake for the first run, Thomas belted his first homer of the year with a solo shot to center field in the third inning for the second run, and Drake's singles in the fourth brought in Blake Wilson for the final run. CRC used up their bullpen with 4 different pitchers getting time on the bump, but Thomas Lamb took the loss for CRC as the RHP gave up 8 runs on 7 hits over 2.2 innings in his first start of the season.

Up Next: The Pioneers are scheduled to host CAC opponent Arkansas Baptist this weekend in a four-game series starting Friday, March 8th at noon, weather permitting. #GOPIONEERS
