Paragould, Ark- CRC Baseball kicked off their conference weekend series against Iowa Wesleyan earlier this afternoon at 1:00 PM. The series opener was scheduled to be one 9-inning game, and an early lead by the Tigers proved to doom the Pioneers as they fell 4-1. CRC busted out 7 hits in the contest, but only sent one Pioneer home in the effort, meanwhile, the Tigers opened the game with a 2 run leadoff inning and followed it with two more runs in the second inning. Corby Seib found his groove on the mound in the third where he settled in and went the distance holding the Tigers scoreless for the remaining 7 innings but the CRC offense couldn't cut the deficit. Trey Gossett took credit for CRC's only run by knocking in Trey Drake in the Bottom of the third with a single to right field. CRC looks to bounce back tomorrow in the double-header matchup starting at 12:00 pm
