Flynn Promoted to Associate Head Coach

Flynn Promoted to Associate Head Coach - Wil Teague, Sports Information Director, 10/17/25

Crowley's Ridge College's head men's basketball coach, Chris Perkins, has announced the promotion of Brady Flynn from assistant coach to associate head coach for the Pioneers men's basketball program.

"Coach Flynn has raised the bar of Pioneer basketball here at Crowley's Ridge College," Perkins said. "With his hard work and dedication over the past two seasons, he has earned being named our team's associate head coach. He has done a fabulous job heading up our recruiting and taking on the role of our defensive coordinator. He will not only excel with these added responsibilities, but they'll help prepare him for his future career."

In only Flynn's second season with the program, Crowley's Ridge more than doubled its win total from the previous year and made an American Midwest Conference (AMC) postseason appearance in the team's first year of eligibility. Not only did the Pioneers finish the 2024-2025 season above .500, but this past season also ranks as the best in school history since CRC joined the NAIA in the 2017-2018 season. Since Flynn has taken over player development responsibilities, Crowley's Ridge has seen multiple players receive accolades from their conference. Braxton Cousins has received back-to-back all-conference honorable mentions, while simultaneously breaking the all-time scoring record at CRC with 1,579 points. Zak Brown was named third team All-AMC and led the Pioneers in scoring, averaging 14.7 points per game in the 2024-25 season. This season off the court was historic as well. CRC men's basketball had five representatives receive a spot on the President's List (4.0 GPA) and six representatives earn a spot on the Dean's List (3.5+ GPA) for the entire 2024-25 school year. More importantly, CRC team captain Josh Lazzarino (recipient of the NAIA AMC Champions of Character award) got the opportunity to baptize two of his teammates during the season.

This coming season, the Pioneers have their sights set on their first-ever AMC Championship and first NAIA National Tournament appearance since 2020. After losing 8 players, both to graduation and the transfer portal, CRC men's basketball reloaded with six transfers and one high school player. With Flynn taking point on the recruiting efforts, the CRC staff was able to sign players from all over the country. Crowley's Ridge College (located in Paragould, Arkansas) and its men's basketball program signed players from the following states: Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Kentucky, Missouri, Montana, and North Carolina.

"I want to express my gratitude for Coach Perkins and his decision in promoting me to associate head coach," Flynn said. "I'm humbled to be a part of such a supportive college, athletic program, and staff. I'm beyond excited for the opportunity to continue impacting our student-athletes in this new role, both on and off the court, as we continue our pursuit of an AMC Championship. Something special is happening at CRC, and I can't wait to see what this year's team can achieve TOGETHER!"
