
Five Pioneers Honored with AMC All-Conference
Five Pioneers Honored with AMC All-Conference-Wil Teague, Sports Inforamtion Director, 4/29/25

Paragould, Ark.- With the regular season for Pioneer Softball and Baseball concluded, All-Conference awards were released yesterday evening, and five Pioneers (4 softball and 1 baseball) were among those listed. Three Lady Pioneers were awarded All-Conference team selections, while the last two Pioneers were recipients of the Champions of Character.
AMC Softball Team Selections:
Junior Karsen Overshine was awarded AMC First Team as the utility player finished the regular season with a team-best .438 AVG (56-128), with 9 doubles, 1 triple, 1 homerun, a .507 OBP, and a .547 SLG. Overshine drove in 15 RBIs, collected 10 walks, while only striking out twice on the year.
Senior Bailey Cupples was awarded AMC Second Team, finishing the regular season above the three-hundred mark with a .302 AVG (42-139), with 9 doubles, a .347 OBP, and a .367 SLG. Cupples followed behind Overshine, driving in 14 RBIs and drawing 9 walks over 42 games.
Senior Kourtni Jagneaux was awarded AMC Third Team, with the Louisiana native finishing her final season with a .287 AVG (37-129), with 4 doubles and a team high 4 homeruns, a .356 OBP, and a .411 SLG. Jagneaux led the Pioneers in RBIs with 28 while also drawing 8 walks for the year.
Champions of Character:
Crowley's Ridge had two players chosen to represent the Champion of Character honor.
The Champion of Character is awarded to a single member of each conference team who demonstrates the 5 core qualities of Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Sportsmanship, and Servant Leadership in the classroom and on the field. Senior Natalie Brightwell and junior Trey Noblin were Pioneer Softball and Baseball recipients.
