Maverick French Signs with Pioneer Golf- Wil Teague, Sports Information Director, 4/4/25

Water Valley, MS- Pioneer Golf grew by one with Water Valley High School standout, Maverick French, inking with the program at the end of March. French will join the Men's Golf team as well as spend some time on the baseball diamond with the newly signed Pioneer, taking on the task of a dual-sport athlete. While at Water Valley, French was a standout on the green for the Blue Devils, earning the honor of most improved average in all of 2A in Mississippi his senior tour, averaging an 80 scorecard, placing top 10 in eleven out of twelve regular season matches, and setting a Water Valley school record with a 76 scorecard to qualify for the state tournament at the district invitational.
