Pioneer Volleyball Inks Sister Duo Emily and Kyrsten Blake- Paige Glenn, CRC Marketing Major '25, Sports Information Intern, 3/20/25

Paragould, Ark.- On Monday, March 17th, Coach Carol Brotman of the Crowley's Ridge Volleyball program traveled to Vernal, Utah, to sign two standout sisters to the program, Emily and Kyrsten Blake. Emily a talented 6' freshman and All-Region Honorable Mention of 2025, and her sister Kyrsten Blake, a 6' seasoned JUCO transfer, are set to join the Pioneers this Fall. Kyrsten, an All-Region Honorable Mention in 2021, All-Region Second Team in 2022, All-Region First Team in 2023, and an All-State Honorable Mention in 2023, will continue her collegiate career in both volleyball and basketball. Emily, in addition to her athletic skills, has demonstrated strong leadership, serving as Junior Class President and Student Body Vice President. She also earned the Gold Council of Excellence award alongside her fellow class representatives. This dynamic duo, with Kyrsten's extensive experience at Casper College and Emily's promising potential, will bring both talent and depth to the team.

 "Kyrsten and Emily are going to bring height and power to our frontcourt. Kyrsten has played as a six-rotation OH, she will help us defensively and offensively.  She has a powerful arm and will help set the tempo for our offense. Emily has played the Middle position throughout High School, her height and blocking ability will help us manage the game more efficiently defensively.  She has a powerful arm swing as well and I believe she is just getting started when it comes to power hitting….  These young ladies have a great attitude, are super competitive, and love playing together.  I believe they will fit perfectly with our team" - Carol Brotmam
